Ever wanted to push the border of gaming and walk through unknown territory where no gamer has gone before? Then the 1st Cinemanila Machinima Film Festival is for you!

The 1st of its kind in the Philippines, the Machinima Film Festival utilizes widely popular videogames such as Grand Theft Auto, Sims 2, World of Warcraft, etc. where gameplay is recorded in real-time as video footage with game characters as the actors in their natural game setting WITHOUT the big expenses, the wearisome preproduction and the long hours.

With the 11th Cinemanila’s mission to unearth machinimators and machinima talents in the region and to recognize this growing filmmaking movement, this is for all the gamers who’ve wondered of the numerous what-ifs scenarios a game character could have done or the different storyline the game could have taken and having the passion for games to let their imagination reign free.

Cinemanila is now accepting entries and is open to all individuals or groups, whether amateur, professional or independent. Entries must be the sole work and/or justly represented by the entrant. Collaborative pieces must include credits for additional contributors.

Interested individuals or groups may choose to join any one or both of the two categories:

- Short Film

- Music Video

Deadline for All Entries and Submission Materials Must be Received by October 5, 2009
